Jesus

Luke 3 : 22 “You are My beloved Son; in You I am well pleased.”

We believe that Jesus is the only son of God. We believe that he came to earth, was crucified and rose again in His body, overcoming death. He is the only one qualified to be the Saviour for men. He is alive and seated today in heaven. He lives in all believers today through the Holy Spirit. He has promised that he will return to earth. Exchange is a church centred on loving the person of Jesus and making Him known to the world.

John 6: 63 These words that I speak to you….. they are life

The words that Jesus spoke are the keys to life. At Exchange church we believe that in the Bible God has shown us all that we need to live a full and complete life. Our vision is to see people understanding what He says and living this life with Him.

worship

In your presence is fullness of joy, at your right hand are pleasures evermore. Psalm 16v11

We were all made to live with God and we want to live lives that show what he has done for us. When we are together at Exchange we worship God with songs that tell about the goodness and hope we have in Jesus and make Him the focus of our lives.

the Holy Spirit

And you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you. Acts 1 vs 8

God still works in our lives today. The Holy Spirit gives us all the power to live for God and become more like Him. We believe that when we are baptized in the Holy Spirit God has placed on the inside of us the same power that Jesus has to heal sickness of the body and the mind. At Exchange church we want to impact the world with the demonstration of His power and see lives radically changed.

community

By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.” John 13v35

We are a group of people who show each other respect, dignity, value and worth by loving each other in the same way that Jesus loves us. We are committed to seeing each other reach the full potential that God has placed in us. Exchange is a group where people belong.

prayer

You may ask me for anything in my name and I will do it. John 14v 14

We know that we relate to God through prayer. We are a church that believes not only, that prayer is important, but it is powerful and effects change in this world. We are people who pray.

outlook

“I have to come to give you life more abundantly” John 10:10

God loves his all his children and we want to take this hope message to our neighbourhoods, communities families, workplaces and into the world. We show compassion and love to those who do not yet know God.

unity

I have given them the glory that you gave me, that they may be one as we are one. John 17 v22

We are a part of the global church that is made up of Believers world wide. We do not judge other expressions of the church but we will pray for and resource the church worldwide so that it fulfills the job that it was established to do. We believe that Jesus is the head of the Church.
