“Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and will not be afraid; for the LORD GOD is my strength and my song, and he has become my salvation.”

Isaiah 12:2

Last week I had a really embarrassing moment. Standing a a queue paying for parking I grew frustrated that the machine was not reading my ticket. The 5 people waiting patiently behind me were growing restless. It was only when the lady behind me tapped me on the shoulder did I realise that I had put the ticket in the credit card slot and not the ticket reader. Totally embarrassed does not come close to it. I could not pay & move on because I was was not doing what was required.

The same applies with God - Trust comes before Peace. There is an order that we must follow. Often we look for a peace in the absence of trust but this verse tells us that as we trust God then peace is the result. The converse is true - a lack of peace shows us where we are not trusting.

Whatever you are facing today know that God is completely trustworthy. He will never let you down. He only ever acts for your best. You are not alone today. He has gone before you to prepare blessing and goodness. That is is heart for you. He will never break His promise to you. Thank God for that and let peace flood your soul and replace fear.
