"Then Joshua the son of Nun called the priests and said to them, “Take up the ark of the covenant, and let seven priests bear seven trumpets of rams’ horns before the ark of the Lord.” 7 And he said to the people, “Proceed, and march around the city, and let him who is armed advance before the ark of the Lord" Josh 6:6-8

Yesterday we looked at how when God steps into your circumstances to lead you to victory HE reminds us that we rest in His work. He does not need our sweat and effort, He needs us in a position of trust in what He has done for us at the cross. As sons & daughters we receive grace upon grace every day because of the powerful love and favour of Jesus.

Today there is something profound in its simplicity yet it is a revelation that will help you see walls come down. The ark mentioned here is the Ark of the Covenant. It is a picture of Jesus and his work. It was made from wood (signifying man) overlaid with gold (which speaks of divinity). The lid was pure gold (the mercy seat) and it was here that each year a sacrifice was made for the sins of the people of Israel. That sacrifice was enough for that year and would result in blessing & protection. It was placed in the holiest place of the tabernacle where no one, except the high priest once a year, could go near or they would die.

When Moses was given instructions to build the tabernacle he was told to build the ark first. Not work from the outside in, but from the inside out. The start and the centrepiece is the sacrifice that would "be enough" for all the blessing, favour and protection the people needed.

Today you do not need an ark - you have the very one that it spoke of - Jesus. His sacrifice for you is more than enough for anything that you need today. Every single need is paid for and there is nothing for you to do but say thank you & receive. That is grace. That is unmerited favour. You probably feel like you are not deserving for any number of reasons. Replace that thought with this truth - at the very centre of your life today is the work of Jesus for you - abundant, more than enough, free and available for you right now.

Joshua was instructed to face his battle with the ark in the centre. He did and the wall came down. I pray the same for you today.
