When he had finished speaking, he said to Simon, “Now go out where it is deeper, and let down your nets to catch some fish.” Luke 5:4
Simon Peter and his partners were tired and disappointed. A whole night fishing and no fish caught.
A preacher called Jesus came along. After borrowing their boat as an impromptu pulpit, He instructs Simon Peter to go out into the deep and cast out the newly cleaned nets.
The result was spectacular.
God wants to use and show you the amazing blessing that can come when you yield to Him, even after you feel that your best efforts have not produced anything. The truth is that when we have reached the end of our endurance, we haven’t even scratched the surface of what it’s possible for God to achieve through us when we obey Him.
So, today, cast out into the deep. For this could be the day when you see the extraordinary hand of God move in your life.
And, like Simon Peter, you’ll never be the same again.
