“So, friends, we can now—without hesitation—walk right up to God, into “the Holy Place.” …So let’s do it—full of belief, confident that we’re presentable inside and out” Heb 10: 19&22 (MSG)

Have you ever had to go somewhere for a meeting or social event and felt a bit uncomfortable or awkward? It can be difficult; you check how you look, put on your best face, smile and try to engage with people. Then there’s the old phone crutch – taking time to check your phone, reading intently, sending out the message that you are not really there alone and that you are just fine with the awkwardness of it all…we’ve all been there.

Contrast that to the house of someone you know really well – family, friends – it’s so different, it’s easy, relaxed, enjoyable. You can go there and be yourself.

Hebrews 10 tells us that Jesus has made a new way for us to approach God. We don’t need to worry about how we look, we don’t have to wait until we are good enough or fit with a certain idea of what a Christian should be. Jesus has “cleared the way by the blood of his sacrifice” and because of this we confidently, without hesitation come to God.

Is there anything that’s holding you back from coming to God? It doesn’t matter what you have done, where you have been or who you are – Jesus has made the way open. So let’s do it, without hesitation.

God is always happy to see you!
