"Sing, barren woman, you who never bore a child; burst into song, shout for joy, you who were never in labor; because more are the children of the desolate woman than of her who has a husband," says the LORD. Isaiah 54:1

Whenever there is lack or barrenness in an area of our lives our natural response is not to celebrate. In the world celebration is based on the results of what our eyes can see. We celebrate when we have the finished product before us whether it be a new job, promotion, a new birth or a good report from the doctor.

But we are not called to lead natural lives which are led by what we see. We are called to live supernatural lives where we are led not by sight but by the Spirit.

When Jesus tells us to sing in the middle of the barrenness it is because of His complete confidence in His finished work. From heaven's perspective the final work is already accomplished. In the Spirit everything that we  want to celebrate is already available to us.

As we trust the truth of God's word and meditate on what Jesus has purchased for us at the cross,  we have the boldness to believe in his promises. Allow your understanding of his love and commitment to grow as you take time to worship and commune with Him. Here you will find strength and courage to pursue, with confident assurance, the dreams that God has placed in our heart.

Speak into your area of barrenness today. Sing with hope and joy knowing that God will deliver you and allow that celebration to begin inside you right now.
