"8But correct the wise, and they will love you. 9Instruct the wise, and they will be even wiser. Teach the righteous, and they will learn even more.”Prov 9:8b-9

I am convinced that most people want to be the best they can be. To grow in character, wisdom and love is a central part of life as a follower of Jesus. The great thing is that God has provided us with each other to help us on this journey of growth in Him.

The writer of Proverbs reminds us that wise people look for help to grow.  Wise counsel, spiritual insight and practical feedback given from a heart of love and grace are powerful ways to help us realise the potential we have in Christ.

There are two sides to this. Firstly, each of us has a part to play in helping develop and support others; what gift can you give to someone you meet today? Secondly, we should look to other to learn from them in order to grow ourselves; what help and insight can those around you provide to help you be all that God has called you to be?

God has given us this great gift in the Church - embrace it, help build it and learn from it - you will learn even more!
