I love this verse. It reminds me so much of when I began my own business. It was in the middle of the recession. Everybody, including family and friends, was telling me I was mad. My wife was the only one that believed, stood by me and trusted in me. I had a very secure job but was clearly hearing God speak to me to get out of it. I stepped out in faith and over 3 years later we have never looked back; God has poured His blessings out us as a family and we have been able to give to others.
Every time I feel I am up against it or a job comes up that is going to be difficult. Whenever I know that I am dealing with an awkward customer, boss/colleague or even friends, I think of this verse. The book of Joshua is full of incredible truths we can apply to everyday life.
What are the walls that stand in the way of your life today? Step out in faith and bring those walls down as God commanded Joshua's army, “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.” (Joshua 1:9)
Apply this verse in what you do today. Don't be afraid of anything because our God is greater and bigger than anything or anyone else that is going to stand in your way.
