“For God was pleased to have all his fullness dwell in him, and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether things on earth or things in heaven, by making peace through his blood, shed on the cross.” Col 1:19-20

Yesterday we considered the humanity of Jesus and how “the man Christ Jesus” is our only mediator with God. Today we remind ourselves that Jesus was not just a man.

Although a human being just like you and I, Jesus is also fully God. I love the fact that this verse tells us that God was pleased to put on human flesh with all its frailties in order to reconcile everything to Himself. All of God so that everything could be reconciled; do you see the completeness of it?

God does not deal in half measures!

There is no one or nothing that is beyond the power and reach of God’s grace in Jesus. Everything is different because of Jesus - His perfect humanity and perfect deity makes relationship with God possible. Jesus is our mediator, He is our peace and He is the door through which we have access to God.

Wherever you find yourself or whatever you are carrying – the blood of Jesus, shed on the cross has made a way back to God.
