“The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?”

Psalm 27:1

It never ceases to amaze me in my own life how often I try to carry things that I really do not have to. It seems ingrained in us that we must take full responsibility for everything even though there are things that we have no power to alter or change. Often when I have exhausted every other avenue I come back to Jesus and ask Him to help. Or maybe I say the odd prayer as I desperately try to work it all out.

God is my strength. What a fantastic truth. He is my strength. When I feel like I cannot carry what is on my shoulders then He is my strength. I guess that the trick is not to take it all on myself in the first place but to bring all my burdens, worries, anxieties and fears to Him in the first place.

God really cares about you. The details of your life matter to Him. He is interested in everything that you have going on in your life right now. If at times you feel like it is too much then remember that today He is your strength. Because of that you do not need to be afraid. You can choose not to be anxious as the one who holds the whole world & everyone in it, is carrying you right now. He knows what you have going on. He understands how you are feeling about it. He says bring it to Me and I will give you rest today.

God loves you. Every minute. Never stops & never will.
