"Rouse yourselves and keep awake, and strengthen and invigorate what remains and is on the point of dying…" Revelation 3:2a

Last year I had a very successful vegetable harvest – more courgettes that I knew what to do with, and my beetroot, potatoes and rhubarb were abundant.  This year however…pretty pathetic.  I did the same things as I’d done last year but they didn’t respond in the same way.  I was almost about to give up but I decided to give it another go – I replanted the courgettes and kept feeding the beetroot – and sure enough they finally came through with glorious yellow flowers and lots of tasty produce.

We’ve all experienced those moments when it seems like it’s all over and we feel like there’s no point in ‘flogging a dead horse’.  Maybe you’re there right now, despairing of your marriage, or a child that’s made bad choices, or a business deal that’s going wrong or a job that’s not turned out to be what you expected.

God hasn’t turned His back on you – He hasn’t given up.  Turn to Him and ask the Holy Spirit to stir up your faith and breathe His life into those seemingly dead places.  This is much more than positive thinking – this is Holy Spirit activation.  He breathes life into dead things – resurrection life.  He is the author of hope; let His hope pour into you today, for your family, for your business, for your job and you will see change.
