“It’s useless to rise early and go to bed late, and work your worried fingers to the bone. Don’t you know he enjoys giving rest to those he loves?”
Psalm 127: 1-2
Rest has been a word for our church this year. We've been encouraged to trust God in all areas of our life and receive His promises while we cast our burdens and problems on Him. This is something I am learning to do, but still at times I find myself getting stressed over business and home life instead of leaving it with the Lord.
This verse reminds me that "it is useless" to worry and stress over these things and believe that working night and day is how we will find peace. There is nothing we can add to our situation by creating anxious thoughts in our mind during trying times.
Our Father loves us and doesn't want to see us in this state. He enjoys and takes delight in taking the worries off our heart and seeing His children stress free.
If there is anything troubling you today, transfer it to the Lord. It is no burden to Him. Walk in the rest that He longs for you to experience.
