"For forty years you sustained them in the wilderness; they lacked nothing, their clothes did not wear out nor did their feet become swollen." Nehemiah 9:21 NIV

God's provision and protection for His people continued beyond directing their paths or providing manna and water.

In the wilderness where nothing should flourish. A place that is by definition one of lack and sparsity here we read that the children of Israel lacked nothing. This mass of people with their families and livestock were able to live for forty years without lacking a single thing such was the faithfulness if God.

God gave supernatural durability; their clothes did not wear out nor did their feet become swollen from walking through the heat if the desert. Every day they lived in a miracle.

Even in the wilderness God will provide everything you need, he will sustain, preserve and bless but this doesn't even come close to the blessing that was in store for them when they reached the promised land.

Many of us today experience God's blessing, His provision and sustaining power. We live thinking that this is enough. We imagine that God is happy with just sustaining us in the wilderness but he wants you to enter into a place of greater blessing. A place where milk and honey flows, where you can fully possess your inheritance in Him.

Today thank God for His faithful provision to date but look forward to entering into a greater inheritance in Him!
