“So from now on we regard no one from a worldly point of view. Though we once regarded Christ in this way, we do so no longer.” ‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭5:16‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Often we can so easily apply to ourselves the freedom Christ brings and yet struggle to apply it to others. Here Paul urges us to no longer regard others from a worldly point of view. Everything looks different when we look at them from God's perspective. The people around us are no longer competitors or stepping stones for our own advance but bearers of the image of God.

We must remind those around us of Christ in them - the hope of Glory. Encourage others, call out their potential, remind them of their calling.

The truth is, we all lose focus. Rather than everyday being a battle, competing with each other, we ought to empower one another to face the real battle - choosing Christ in our everyday lives.

Christ's power is so much greater than any other influence. We ought to remember that God is completing great things in the lives of those who are in Christ - no matter what part of the journey we might meet them. Let's look at things from a different point of view.

Call each other higher!
