You are a New Creation
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.
2 Cor 5:17
The moment you believed in Jesus, you were made new. You are not a polished, cleaned up version of your old self. For something to be considered a ‘new creation’, it cannot have existed before. It’s something fresh or unprecedented. This new life comes from God and it’s His Spirit who now dwells within you and all who believe.
The verse says that the old has ‘passed away’. Whatever your past entailed, now, as far as God is concerned, it is done with. Put out of sight. Made void. Disregarded.
Today, centre your focus on God and on what He says you now are and what that means for you going forward. As with the arrival of a baby, with new life comes fresh hope, new opportunities and new possibilities. Let your adventure begin because, with the new life God has placed in you, all things are now possible!
