When my son was born the midwife showed me how to ‘swaddle’ him tightly in a blanket. My baby son loved being wrapped up – it comforted him and helped him to relax and sleep.
Father God ‘swaddles’ us in love – holding us so we can feel secure, cared for and totally at peace. In that environment of love and total commitment to your wellbeing it’s possible for you to thrive in life. You can face any situation because you know without a doubt that He’s holding on to you.
As our babies grow we don’t swaddle them any more – but we still hug them and assure them that they are loved and belong in our family. We want them to know we are there for them whatever they are going through.
Don’t feel disconnected today – lean into God’s arms – nothing will ever cause Him to let you go!
