“Keep your eyes on Jesus, who both began and finished this race we’re in. Study how he did it. Because he never lost sight of where he was headedthat exhilarating finish in and with God...”

Hebrews 12:1-2 (TM)

One of the problems the Church faces today is not outright attack from those opposed to it but rather the apathy of those who form a part of it. People, somehow, somewhere along the way, can lose their passion.

There may be various reasons as to why this has happened, but the end results are similar. The cure?

We need to get our eyes lifted off our circumstances and continually fix them on Jesus. When we do that, we are reminded of the truth about who He really is, what He has done, what He continues to do and what He is going to do. It also reminds us of our own destiny as believers.

Its from this that passion for the Kingdom is born deep in our soul and it will naturally overflow, spilling out openly into our lives.

Passion is the cornerstone of creativity and it causes our perspective on life to be transformed as we become able to rise above the temporary difficulties we encounter. It frees us and causes our hearts to be motivated to serve others out of grateful free will. It also is fertile ground for innovation as our vision becomes focused and clearer.

Take time today and every day to fix your eyes on Jesus.
