“Therefore be imitators of God, as beloved children.” Ephesians 5:1 ESV
The Bible can be daunting at the best of times, but a call like this on your life can make it even more so! How do we imitate God? Have you read the gospels? Saw what Jesus did? Surely this is a translation error… Nope!
If we skip back to Ephesians 4:32 we see what Paul is referencing here - “Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.”
Signs, wonders and miracles are important to God, but what's even more important is this: love.
Above all else in our lives, God has called us to be lovers of the people around us, no questions asked. Why, you ask? Simple – Romans 2:4 “God’s kindness is meant to lead you to repentance?”
Kindness, gentleness, mercy, compassion and love are what Gods knows will truly change the hearts of those around you! The pure and simple truth of love wins!
