But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.  Romans 5:8

God loves us, not just in word but in deed.  His actions toward us are based on his love, not on our deeds.  He loved us when we were still in our sin and before we ever loved him.  The famous verse of John 3:16 says – For God so loved the world that he gave…

Yesterday we saw that the good Father gives good things to his children.  Giving is the very expression of love.  If it wasn't enough that God gave us Jesus, Romans 8:32 says - He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things?

God has given us Jesus, and with him all the promises of God are Yes and Amen (2 Corinthians 2:20).  I don't know about you, but I want a daily encounter with Jesus, I want to live in the abundance of the ‘all things,’ I want to thrive and flourish in all that God has provided for me, and I want to be generous – after all, the same love is shed abroad in my heart (Romans 5:5).
