At church recently the word that God has been speaking a word that has brought great encouragement.  As we have been thinking about the future the Lord simply asked us "What is it that you want to see?" Our heart as a church is to teach the world about the grace of God and the "full" (is there any other kind") message of the Kingdom of God. But the Lord was more specific - "Yes, but what do you want to see?"

As we answered that the word of the Lord was simple - sow into what you want to see returned. I'm encouraging you to do the same. We sow not to release the favour of God BUT because we are already in a covenant of grace & favour. You might be looking at your life today and all you see is lack & barrenness. Isaac in Gen 26 was in a land of drought but God reminded him that He was in a covenant of blessing and so he should sow. he did just that and saw a huge return. Not because he was clever, sinless or manipulative. God spoke, he sowed and God brought the return. In a land that was dry and barren.

That is the promise that God speaks over your life today. You may feel that all around is dry and there may not be much fruit.  But if you will take whatever God has put in your life, your time, money, love or whatever and sow it then because you are under a covenant of unmerited favour & grace you will see a return that only God can bring.

God is not defined by nor limited by what you see around you. His view of your life is hugely different to what you see.  That is what Jeremiah saw too

But blessed is the one who trusts in the Lordwhose confidence is in him. They will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green. It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit. Jeremiah 17

You will never fail to bear fruit - but in order to do so you need to sow. You are sowing into grace, into love, into favour and as you do that then it does not matter who is standing against you, what is coming against you or where yo think you are at - God will always return that which is sown into Him.

Go for it today - think about what you want your life to look like and then get sowing!
