“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord. “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future” Jer 29:11
“What do you want to be when you grow up?” This is a question we often ask children…to be honest, sometimes I am still not sure what I want to be when I grow up! All of us want our lives to mean something, to be part of a bigger picture, part of a grander plan.
But isn’t it amazing how the cycle of life and repeated setbacks can change the limit of our horizon? We let go of the dreams that God has placed in our hearts. We settle for just enough. Enough to get by, enough to meet the bare minimum of our needs – this is not the plan that God has for you!
God has a plan for you – it’s a great plan - a plan to prosper you, for you to live a life beyond ‘just enough’. In God, there is a plan for your life that brings back hope for the future.
If you know Jesus, your life is hidden with Christ in God (Col 3:3) and it is only through Jesus that you can ever fully discover the future God has for you. Today, lift your eyes upwards – look to your future from the perspective of your relationship with Jesus and ask God to enable you to discover all that He has in store for you.
