“The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full” John 10:10
We have considered this week how our lives are changed when we encounter Jesus. Knowing Jesus is about growing in Him, learning to view life from a different perspective and discovering the great plans He has for us.
God wants us to thrive; He came so that we can have a life that is full, a life beyond measure. As another version of this verse says, that we may have life “more abundantly’. There is something beautiful about an abundant life – it is more than just a full life but one that overflows – a life where there is more than enough for every situation.
I’m sure you have heard the saying “You can’t drink from an empty well” – God does not want us trying to drink from an empty source but to position ourselves in Him so that there is a never-ending supply of all we need to thrive.
Wherever you are in your journey with Jesus, He is calling you to move forward. From a place where you not only encounter Jesus in all His glory but to grow in His grace and realise who you are in Him. He is calling you deeper to discover the plans He has for your life so that you can enjoy the abundant life He has destined you for…He has called you to thrive!
