And Jesus grew in wisdom and stature, and in favour with God and man. Luke 2:52
As we listened to the messages last year of abiding in the vine (John 15), I remember how the quality of the fruit increased each year as the roots, vine and branches developed and matured over time.
As we grow, develop and mature in the natural, so we also grow in our relationship with God. None of us are born adults in the natural, neither are we born adults in the spiritual. We take the same route in our spiritual journey from babes to children to mature adults.
Even Jesus demonstrates the growth journey. Look how he grew in favour with God and with men. The Old Testament story of Joseph is another great example of how someone grows in God’s favour. Joseph didn’t transcend to Egyptian Presidency overnight but God promoted him over time as he grew in favour.
I don’t know where you are today in your journey but I know you are favoured. You don’t need to try and make things happen, just rest and trust and let God’s favour take you to the next level.
